I recently picked up a 40-sheet pack of Cricut Clear Printable Vinyl from Amazon, mainly because the price was too good for me to pass up.

As you can see from the image, I paid $15.99 for 40 sheets. For genuine Cricut material, it's a pretty price, especially since I already have several projects where I can put transparent printable vinyl to use. Plus, if you buy it direct from Cricut you only get 20 sheets for the $15.99 price.

This particular version is made for inkjet printers and the sheets are clear rather than white. That makes them useful when you want the surface underneath your design to remain visible. I'm thinking about using them for things like labels, stickers, organization projects and possibly some of the other printable products I've been experimenting with.

One thing I particularly like about buying a 40-sheet package is that I don't have to be quite so precious about every sheet. When printable materials are expensive, I'm reluctant to experiment because one bad print feels like money going directly into the trash. At roughly 40¢ a sheet, I have a little more room for testing.

I haven't decided everything I'm going to make with it yet, but that's actually part of the appeal. It's one of those supplies I bought because I already know I can use it, while still leaving myself plenty of room to discover additional uses. Plus, you know the saying… “better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.” 🙂

There's a version for laser printers, too, so this may be a purchase worth making to have Cricut Clear Vinyl Sticker Paper in your craft-supply stash.
